Necker Renewable Energy

Integrated off-grid 350kW solar array and three 100kW wind turbines.

Project Description

For a remote, live-trading island estate, energy generation is part of the core operational infrastructure. This project created a 650kW off-grid renewable system by integrating a 350kW solar array with three 100kW wind turbines. The complexity lay not only in installing two generation technologies, but in making them work as a coherent island-wide microgrid in a corrosive, high-wind marine environment with constrained access and no conventional mainland supply chain. The scheme demanded highly specialized engineering to install sensitive technology without disrupting the high-end guest experience, translating a portfolio-level sustainability objective into practical, site-specific infrastructure.
